Head Swimming Instructor at the Jewish Community Center (JCC of Stamford)

 

Mikhail Iogman is a swimming instructor with two decades of experience in teaching and coaching swimming.  He has taught more than 3,500 children and adults ranging from 6 months to 78 years of age. He is goal-oriented, result driven, and uses his knowledge of psychology to encourage pride and high self esteem in new and/or developing swimmers.  In his teaching Mikhail utilizes the method of "stepwise development of cognitive functions" developed by Dr. Galperin (psychology), the same system which was used in training the Russian Cosmonauts.

"My ultimate goal in teaching swimming is to hear my student say, "mommy, daddy I did it!"

 

Interests:

Swimming, year-round kayaking, camping, yoga, cross-country skiing.
